A Tidbit In Homeopathy History

So.. When Cholera spread across the U.S. in the 1830s Doctors were left scratching their heads. They did however use three popular forms of treatment at that time which included: 1) Bloodletting (Applying leaches, or often times cutting open a vein) 2) Opium (for stress relief, and to help patients relax) 3) Calomel (To purge) However, with casualties well over 150,000 between 1832-1849 and another 50,000 in the fourth pandemic in 1866 they decided to use homeopathy. Discovering that it was in fact their best shot at survival. Not only was this saving many lives, but also this form of medicine could be used on Pregnant women, had absolutely no side effects, was not addictive, did not interfere with other medications, and was relatively inexpensive.. We may not be having a Cholera outbreak, but we should definitely learn a lesson from this.. Homeopathic medicine is absolutely amazing! Go alternative!
